A group of artisans who set out in 1969 to bring an idea to life today has transformed into the single largest coffee machine factory in the world. Here are the milestones that have made Astoria the brand recognized and appreciated today.
1969
Nello Dal Tio founds the Astoria CMA group, heir to a historic brand in the Italian tradition of espresso coffee machines.
1972
First requests for Astoria coffee machines from abroad.
1978
Astoria coffee machines reach the United States for the first time.
1995
Astoria incorporates General Espresso Equipment Corporation, a company specialized in distribution of the brand in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
1998
In collaboration with the Adriano Design studio, Sibilla is launched, an eccentric and tough looking machine.
2002
The MCE production plants in Timisoara officially opens its doors.
2007
The new plant in Susegana is opened, an expression of the Group's growing potential and a cutting-edge industrial philosophy based on lean manufacturing principles.
2009
Introduction of a new site in France. The Green Line is born, designed to combine excellence in the coffee cup and sustainability. Its patriarch is flagship product Plus 4 You.
2012
With the acquisition by the Ryoma holding of Milan, vocation is accompanied by a higher international profile and increased investments in Research and Development.
2013
Astoria introduces HYbrid during Host Milano.
2015
Plus4Champions is the official machine at the World Latte Art Championship and the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship
2017
Storm is the new coffee machine that sanctions Astoria's official entry into the world of professional baristas, launched on the occasion of Host Milano.
2018
Launch of the #TheStormIsComing tour all over the world.
2022
Astoria launches the new Plus 4 You Advantage in two versions, multiboiler and singleboiler
