very two years, with clockwork regularity, Astoria takes its place at Intergastra, one of the most important trade fairs in the calendar for Europe’s gastronomy, hospitality and restaurant sectors. This year’s fair, to be held in Stuttgart from 3rd to 7th February 2018, promises to be a record event, with an exhibition area of 115,000 m2 – the biggest to date – and over 100,000 visitors expected throughout the course of the event.
Intergastra will mark the official German launch of the Storm, the coffee machine with “Barista Attitude” which has already received a great response from the many professionals who have seen and tried it for themselves at Host Milano and Sigep.
“Storm will be presented to the German market in a unique version with three polished red groupheads with polished chrome finishings, demonstrating how it can be customized by choosing the colors of both the bodywork (red, matt black, copper) and the various details (chrome or matt black),” explains Area Manager Roberto Pampanin. “Also on the Astoria stand will be Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, winner of the 2016 World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, and a big fan of the Storm, which he helped design, working with our technicians and designers and his colleagues Caleb Cha, the 2015 World Latte Art Champion, and ArnonThitiprasert, the 2017 World Latte Art Champion.”
In addition to its outstanding technical features, which include the ability to personalize the extraction settings, the innovative Barista Attitude “cool touch” steam wand and the ability to produce dry steam – which facilitates milk foaming by minimizing initial condensation and preventing the formation of water micro-particles as steam is dispensed – there’s much more to discover. Storm has been specifically designed with both function and comfort in mind: the stainless steel feet, for example, can be individually adjusted to give the best fit for the counter, while the intensity of the LED lighting of the work area can be adjusted by the user depending on the brightness of the surroundings, whatever the time of day.
On display alongside the Storm (Hall 8 / Stand 8C64) will be all the other top-of-the-range models from Astoria: the Plus 4 You TS (also in operation on the stand’s coffee bar), the HYbrid, popular with hotels, restaurants, service stations and fast food chains which need a machine that gives great coffee at the same time as being extremely easy to use, the Gemma TS, the Greta, the Sabrina, a jewel of technology with a vintage feel, and the Core600.
